Mercedes Muñoz


Mercedes Muñoz is a consultant, coach, advisor to important companies, some of which are multinational. She has also been a professor in the business area for various universities for several years. She is certified as a Case Method facilitator and has written over 16 cases. She is a certified coach and has 2 certifications in leadership methodologies. Mercedes has taught the case method, leadership, coaching, and business programs in Mexico and other countries. She has had significant participation in editorials and newspapers.

Mercedes worked as a Special Advisor to the Secretary of Economy. She worked at PEMEX Gas, at PEMEX Petroquímica Secundaria, at CONASUPO, and Banco de México. She has been a coach and has taught programs to executives and collaborators of companies and organizations such as Grupo Cruz Azul, Grupo México, Ericsson, Fármacos Especializados, Banamex, Bancomer, Santander, Sesamee Mexico, Eli Lilly, and Cushman Wakefield. She has worked as a Coach-Consultant for the “Best Companies in Mexico” Program in 2015, 2016, and 2017, which is a program sponsored by the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Deloitte, and Banamex. She has been a consultant for projects in the public sector for the Office of the President of the Republic, the Chamber of Deputies, Pemex University and the Federal Electricity Commission. She has participated in the adaptation of the Latin American version of Parkin ‘s Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Mankiw’s Macroeconomics books. She is a technical reviewer of several books in the area of ​​economics and international business.

Mercedes has been a lecturer and has participated in different forums and conferences at congresses and universities in countries like Chile. Colombia, Spain, Russia, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. She is a Candidate for a Doctorate in Business Competitiveness and Economic Development at the University of Deusto in San Sebastián Spain. She has studied a Master in Economics at El Colegio de México and another in Economics and Business Management at the University of Deusto. She has a degree in Economics from UAM-Azcapotzalco. She is currently studying the Master in Marketing at the Tecnológico de Monterrey.
